Research Technician (NL)


Your job in a nutshell

You will be responsible for the analyses of the patient specimens for diagnostic services as well as for execution and reporting of investigational and validation studies for the products in development. These analyses include various molecular techniques, e.g. flow cytometry, RNA/DNA isolation, (q)PCR, sequencing on the Nextseq 550, as well as running (diagnostic) microarrays.

Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care.  


You have

  • a HLO degree or comparable.

  • strong interest and experience in molecular and cellular biology.

  • experience in writing SOP’s and stock and equipment management working under quality systems like ISO-13485 and ISO-15189 (or CCKL).

  • experience in working with patient samples (bone marrow / FFPE), flow cytometry, Quantstudio 5, Nextseq 550 and the GeneChip® 3000Dx v2.0 systems (pre).

  • familiarity with working in a QMS in a regulated environment.

  • the flexibility to be responsible for other tasks (like arranging shipments).  

  • an excellent command in written and spoken English (pre).

  • a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.

  • an entrepreneurial mind-set and are able to work in an environment with high quality standards.

  • the ability to motivate the team and manage both internal and external collaborations.
