Your job in a nutshell

The Precision Diagnostics Specialist reports directly to the Commercial Director-US and has primary responsibility for driving the development of accounts and adoption and execution of commercial testing in the assigned territory. The Precision Diagnostics Specialist is responsible for creating demand of SkylineDx’s products, product adoption, test volumes and revenue growth in the accounts within the assigned territory. This function spearheads the growth of the Merlin Assay in their territory by managing key accounts and maintaining professional relationships in the specialties of Dermatology, Surgical Oncology and Pathology. The position would require a market and business development responsibility through managing the direct collaboration with the customer. SkylineDx works with local experts/ consultants to help drive market access.

 

The Precision Diagnostics Specialist manages a geographically defined territory and is responsible for the execution of sales strategies that align with test adoption, test prescription and revenue generation. He/she will execute the company’s commercial strategy (market access and sales), individually and/or through a sales team approach. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the Company’s brand messaging is correctly, effectively and compliantly positioned within identified targeted accounts. The Precision Diagnostics Specialist will assess other areas of engagement for the desired franchise and product market (i.e.: Patient Advocacy Groups, Journal Clubs, Residency Programs, local meeting sponsorship opportunities etc.).

 

The Precision Diagnostics Specialist will be provided defined and measurable sales goals, and will ensure that they are met and exceeded through strict and proven sales techniques and methodologies.

 

The Precision Diagnostics Specialist will actively utilize provided tools (i.e. Salesforce CRM) to track account progress through the sales cycle.  The Sales Rep will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements and communicate with management accordingly. Additionally, he/she will exercise sound judgment in planning and organizing work, monitoring of account performance and report status of progress, risk, account jeopardy or areas of improvement in process or products.

 

Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care.  

 

You have

  • a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Life-sciences, or equivalent.

  • an affinity with science and able to digest and discuss scientific literature.

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial diagnostics, pharmaceutical or biotech companies, to include commercializing diagnostics and launching new product initiatives. Leading individual initiatives. Proven track record of YOY growth from direct sales, team sales, product distribution, market adoption and revenues a must

  • demonstrated experience in developing clients & executing successful sales strategies in early stage companies

  • demonstrated experience in key account management

  • demonstrated experience, leadership skills and successful track record in leading sales teams and/or Business Units

  • extensive experience working closely with Dermatology, Surgical Oncology and Pathology physicians as well as mid level providers and have the ability to create and maintain relationships from front-office to C-suite required

  • demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining KOL relationships for the purposes of new product R&D opportunities (studies or clinical trials), OR, for the purposes of market adoption/endorsement of new technologies

  • demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Well-organized and capable of balancing multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines  

  • an excellent command in written and spoken English (pre).

  • a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.

  • an entrepreneurial mind-set and are able to work in an environment with high quality standards.

  • the ability to motivate the team and manage both internal and external collaborations.
