Science Liaison (NL)


Your job in a nutshell

The MSL role serves as a conduit of information to external stakeholders (clinicians of different disciplines, patients) as it pertains to SkylineDx’ cutaneous melanoma (skin cancer) diagnostic test, and other potential tests that SkylineDx pursues in the field of dermatology. You will be a resource for these stakeholders and commercial colleagues for field education activities, dermatology conferences and industry trade shows, physician and patient advocacy group presentations, on various matters related to new research and clinical developments or clinical trial activities in melanoma.


The MSL position will involve cultivating and maintaining relationships with Academic Researchers, Key Opinion Leaders and Heads of Dermatology Departments at major University Institutions, as well as biotech industry Thought Leaders. You will be responsible for attending Dermatology and Diagnostic Conferences, presenting information to treating physicians and surgeons, both in field and cold calling capacities, as well as pre-arranged presentations and appointments. Furthermore, you will work intensively with internal colleagues at every step of the product development process if needed; additionally, you will be instrumental in scientific and medical messaging and work closely with the Commercial Managers if applicable.


Your responsibilities:

  • Meet with KOLs such as physicians and healthcare professionals, and visit key medical and academic institutions

  • Interact with clinical practice guideline committee members

  • Respond to requests for information, clinical and technical, to clients (external and internal)

  • Host advisory boards, clinical presentations, patient advocacy group presentations

  • Attend all company directed conferences, congresses, and industry trade shows; report information back to organization in a condensed and actionable manner

  • Maintain expertise in all matters related to melanoma; latest clinical research, current therapies, current diagnostic tools available to treat disease, etc.

  • Collaborate with other scientific colleagues at SkylineDx on any research, publication or abstract

  • Work closely with field sales colleagues to ensure that company’s revenue and volume goals are met through the proper dissemination of clinical information on melanoma

  • Provide training to sales and marketing teams within SkylineDx and its partners

  • Assist in the development of scientific content for field clinical marketing material

  • Assist in medical education

  • Collection of competitive intelligence

  • Training and coaching of speakers


Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care. 



You have

  • a PhD in oncology research, PharmD, MD, NP or PA or other relevant background.

  • 5 years of experience in a research or clinical setting.

  • 5 years of experience in a comparable role.

  • experience in oncology, dermatology and genetics.

  • experience in melanoma (preferred).

  • strong analytical skills and creative approach to problem solving.

  • an entrepreneurial mind-set and are able to work in an environment with high quality standards.

  • an excellent command in written and spoken English.

  • the ability to motivate the team and manage both internal and external collaborations.

  • a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.
