Internship Bioinformatics (NL)*

Your job in a nutshell
The internship focuses on integrating and analyzing data, build methods and identify or verify biomarkers with high potential in the clinic. You are working with internationally renowned academic partners and SkylineDx’ multidisciplinary development team: scientists, lab technicians, study directors, software engineers and the QA/RA department.
Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care. The disease area you are working in, is open for discussion with your supervisor to maximize your learning opportunity.
the desire to learn and discover new things and are currently enrolled in a related BSc or MSc degree.
a beyond start level in bioinformatics and statistics (pre).
knowledge in R, Matlab, Python, C/C++ or other programming languages with proven records of good programming and documentation styles (pre).
a good understanding of genetics and cell biology and enjoy working with big data.
the intention to do an internship of 6 months or more.
an excellent command in written and spoken English (pre).
a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.
an entrepreneurial mind-set and are able to work in an environment with high quality standards.
the ability to motivate the team and manage both internal and external collaborations.
