Your job in a nutshell

As HR & Administration Manager, you will support the US team with Human Resources and administration tasks. You will also be responsible for managing the reception, the office supplies, the recording and filing of all key documents related to personnel and the (HR) operations of SkylineDx and represent SkylineDx in front of visitors. You will work closely with the HR Manager based in the Netherlands to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines.

The HR & Administration Manager manages relationships with external (HR) service providers, ensures smooth HR and office operations, prepares internal reports on administration, participates in team meetings, conducts on-and offboarding of new hires, performance management process, training planning, management of the US HRIS (ADP Total source), and recruitment activities. He/she can assist with the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports.

The HR & Administration Manager will also provide support in conference booking arrangements, books flights & facilitates travel for management and employees.

The HR & Administration Manager will be performing work in our Offices in San Diego, California and reports to the President, General Manager USA.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall office organization and serve as the point of contact for external providers and visitors (Reception, office supplies, recording and filing of all key documents).

  • Work closely with the HR manager based in The Netherlands to ensure timely recruitment; on and off-boarding; employee performance management processes.

  • Maintain the staff aligned with company policies for what is concerning HR, Compliance and Training, together with the Quality department.

  • Provide HR guidance to employees and managers regarding benefits, compensation, training, company policies, payroll, etc.

  • Oversee Facility needs and engage internal and external IT groups to resolve IT issues related to the office.

  • Support the US team with travel and meeting arrangements in accordance with internal guidelines and policies.

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to process expense reports.


Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care.  


You have

  • minimum 4 years’ work experience as HR assistant, HR officer, Office Manager with HR tasks.

  • highly developed interpersonal skills including communications and listening skills, friendly and helpful demeanor, exhibiting a professional, energetic, proactive and enthusiastic demeanor.

  • affinity with IT

  • experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnical industry is a plus

  • affinity with accounting is a plus

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized and timely manner.

  • successful experience in a fast-paced environment

  • a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.

  • ability to perform the work independently and be flexible, adjusting priorities and tasks in real time to support the objectives of the business.
