Your job in a nutshell

The Receptionist supports the company and the team with a variety of administrative support tasks, including answering phone, receiving visitors, preparing meetings, sorting, and distributing mail, and making travel arrangements.

Ou new colleague will be the face and personality of the company for visitors to our office in Rotterdam.

You will be working in a very dynamic and diverse company with an international team making a difference for patients. Our company is in a scale up phase which means that not one day is the same.

Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact of the company for colleagues and visitors at the front desk.

  • Greet visitors with a positive, helpful attitude and assist them in finding their way around the office.

  • Answer phone calls in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.

  • Assist employees with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans.

  • Sort and distribute mail and packages. arrange courier.

  • Prepare meeting rooms, arrange coffee and lunch.

  • Assist with organizing company’s events.

  • Coordinate the maintenance/ repair of office equipment with external suppliers.

 

You have

  • a MBO 3 or higher with the administrative direction.

  • experience with an administrative or similar function (>2 years).

  • experience with MS office.

  • an excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills.

  • the ability to contribute positively as part of a team.

  • an excellent command of the English and Dutch languages.

  • a hands-on mentality and result oriented attitude.
