Finance Manager
Your job in a nutshell
As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making within SkylineDx. You will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This role involves working closely with the CFO, cross-functional teams and driving financial success and growth within the company. You will perform your work from our office in Rotterdam (hybrid work model) and report to the Chief Financial Officer. Together we ensure the validation and implementation of clinically relevant scientific discoveries into reliable medical diagnostic assays for diagnosis, prognosis and drug effectiveness prediction that will ultimately contribute to improved patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Together with the CFO, develop and manage financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and short/long-term financial planning; analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into business performance and recommend strategic actions

.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements; ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Provide financial insights and recommendations to CFO to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.

Ensure effective costs management.

Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations.

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure adequate funding for ongoing operations.

Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory compliance.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax filings and compliance with tax regulations.

Manage and mentor the financial controller, providing guidance, and training.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial processes
You have
-
a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s, MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
-
> 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably with Big-4 accounting firm and with Life Sciences or related industry.

knowledge of Dutch Financial laws.

knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

an excellent command in written and spoken English.

experience in a highly regulated environment, pharmaceutical / biotechnical industry is a plus.

experience in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools.

excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
